Are You A Stressed Christian?
Are you a stressed Christian?
Being a stressed Christian doesn’t make you bad. Is stressed-out Christianity hypocritical? Being a stress Christian doesn’t make God disappointed in you. I am confident we all know a thing or two about stress.
The other day on Instagram, I (Laura) kind of went off on a tangent about living with unnecessary stress as a believer. Sometimes stress is unavoidable though.
Life has speed bumps and, even at our best, we are constantly pushed and pulled in many directions (especially when you are in growth mode).
But it stings, doesn’t it?
Stress can feel inevitable, even as Christians. We can be stressed Christians.
And truly, some people define stress differently. We can call it worry, anxiety, fear… all of which are valid. Yet, we cannot let that become our identity.
We shouldn’t allow the pressures of life to dismantle what God has been patiently building in our lives and stories.
Here is a recap of my tangent on being a stressed Christian:
It is from this passionate awakening that we were able to compose a better summary of what we do as a ministry. We’ve known all along what message we feel called to share. And we need to share it with you.
Yes, we love Jesus.
Yes, we write books.
Yes, we write bible studies.
Yes, we do it with one goal in mind:
Love Fast Live Slow (LFLS) is a non-denominational, Christian ministry that seeks to lead Jesus’ followers to a peace-filled, intentional life by eliminating unnecessary stress caused by living a self-centered fast-paced life.
LFLS reaches Christians in the middle of their busy days through devotions, blogs, speaking, resources, online Bible studies and books.
We offer real-life solutions to those striving to maintain life’s balance, in spite of today’s hectic pace and cultural pull away from godly principles. We aim to disprove the lie that happiness is gained through selfish ambition.
Wherever someone is on their spiritual journey, LFLS exists to be a trusted friend who understands the challenges they face, walks by their side, encouraging them as they walk toward the heart of God.
If this comes across as “stress is sinful” and “shaming stress” then we’ve not communicated our mission clearly.
We believe Christians have damaged a good thing by putting UNNECESSARY stress.
